CHARL DE WAAL BOSHOFF

MANAGING DIRECTOR & FOUNDING PARTNER – BA Law (Stell); LLB (Stell); LLM (UCT)

Charl De Waal Boshoff obtained his BA Law and LLB Degrees from the University of Stellenbosch in 1997 and 1999, respectively. Thereafter, he obtained his LLM Degree, specializing in Shipping Law in 2001, from the University of Cape Town. He completed his articles of clerkship at Fairbridges Attorneys in Cape Town and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2004. He practiced as a Senior Associate at Fairbridges Attorneys before opening De Waal Boshoff Incorporated during 2006. Charl obtained his Right of Appearance in the High Court and is an admitted and practicing Notary Public and registered Business Rescue Practitioner. His main areas of practice include business rescue, corporate law, commercial law, insolvency law, non-contentious work specific to the commercial industry and maritime law.

JESSE BARRINGTON-SMITH

DIRECTOR AND PARTNER – LLB (UNISA); LLM (UCT)

Jesse Barrington-Smith obtained her LLB Degree from the University of South Africa in 2010. Thereafter, she obtained her LLM Degree, specializing in Shipping Law in 2012, from the University of Cape Town. She joined De Waal Boshoff in 2012 where she completed her articles of clerkship and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa during 2014 and in the same year obtained her Right of Appearance in the High Court. Her main areas of practice include maritime law, corporate law, commercial law, insolvency law, litigation, non-contentious work specific to the commercial industry and deceased estates.

NTHABELENG NTHOROANE

CANDIDATE ATTORNEY – LLB (UCT)

Nthabeleng Nthoroane obtained her LLB Degree from the University of Cape Town in 2020. She joined De Waal Boshoff Incorporated during 2021 and is currently completing her practical legal training. Her focuses include general litigation, deceased estates and commercial law.

GANEEFA BENJAMIN

PARALEGAL & OFFICE MANAGER

Ganeefa Benjamin obtained her Paralegal Diploma in 2008 and joined De Waal Boshoff Inc. in the same year. Ganeefa is the office manager and assistant to Charl Boshoff. During her many years in the legal profession she has gained invaluable exposure to general litigation, business rescue practice, insolvency law and general practice management.

MISHKA LEVENDALE

LEGAL ASSISTANT

Mishka Levendale has worked in a supportive role in the legal profession for many years and joined De Waal Boshoff Incorporated in 2018. Mishka is the assistant to Jesse Barrington-Smith and plays an administrative and supportive role in the office management. She has extensive exposure to general litigation and administration of deceased estates.
